What’s linocut ?

Linocut is a manual printing process that involves many steps.

Step 1: Drawing. I create a drawing based on my inspiration.

Step 2: I transfer the drawing onto a linoleum or rubber block.

Step 3: Using specialized carving tools, I carefully carve the design into the block.

Step 4: Once the drawing is complete, I apply an oil-based ink to the block using a roller.

Step 5: I carefully place a sheet of paper on top of the inked block and apply pressure using a wooden press. This transfers the ink from the raised areas onto the paper, creating the final print.

Step 6: Drying. This can take 1-2 weeks for oil-based ink.

Step 7: Each print is numbered and signed.
